What do you love about where you live?
There’s something special about living in a place that never belonged to your past but feels like it’s shaping your future. That’s what this town has become for me. I didn’t grow up here, and maybe that’s why it feels like potential.
I love that I can walk everywhere I need to go.
I love that the airport is five minutes away and downtown Boston is only ten.
I love that I can spend a summer day at the pool or head to the beach whenever I want.
I love the walks at Deer Island, where the water and skyline frame the path.
I love watching airplanes take off and land at all hours (it never gets old).
Even more than the scenery, I love the connections. I see my soon-to-be in-laws every day and my nieces and nephews whenever I want. There’s comfort in knowing family is close, in the way it makes even the simplest days feel grounded.
I love that I feel safe here.
I love that it’s not right next to everything, but close enough to everything that matters.
I love that it’s starting to feel like home.
Most of all, I love that Gretchen’s family is here. That’s what ties it all together… the sense of belonging I didn’t know I was missing.
